Hyderabad, October 14: State Road Transport Corporation Managing Director Prasada Rao on Friday stated that the corporation was able to operate 2,223 services across the Telangana region on Friday.
Talking to media persons, Prasada Rao said the RTC would be making all efforts to operate more number of services with the striking employees joining their duties in a phased manner. With more number of employees calling off the strike and joining their duties, the RTC has been doing its best to operate maximum number of services to facilitate commuters in the all districts, he said.
Stating that services have been increasing in Telangana region, he said that 342 services were operated in Khammam district followed by 20 in Warangal, 15 each in Nalgonda, 10 in Karimnagar and two services in Nizamabad. However, as many as 1,844 bus services have been resumed in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
Prasada Rao said the RTC has been making efforts to run long-distance services covering Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra Pradesh districts. (INN
